Taylor Swift Denies Rumors Travis Kelce Sings on 'Opalite' Song on New Album in Video
Music megastar Taylor Swift shot down an internet conspiracy theory Monday regarding one of her new hit songs.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (beginning at the 19:45 mark of the video), Swift was asked if her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end, harmonizes on the song "Opalite." Swift simply responded, "He's not," which elicited laughter from the crowd:

"Opalite" is an early contender for the most popular song on Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which released last week.
Although Kelce's voice is not featured in the song, Swift revealed last week that "Opalite" is largely inspired by her husband-to-be.
In an interview with Capital FM (h/t People.com's Samantha Stutsman), Swift discussed Kelce's connection to the song, saying:
"Travis' birthstone is an opal, so I've always fixated on that, I've always loved that stone. I thought it was kind of [a] cool metaphor. [Opalite is] a man-made opal, and happiness can also be man-made, too. So, that's kind of what the song is about, kind of the juxtaposition of those two."
Since 2023, Swift and Kelce have been in one of the most-talked-about romances in the world, and they took it to the next level in August when Kelce proposed to Swift.
That came in advance of Swift releasing her 12th studio album, which features several songs that Swift has said are inspired by Kelce.
As Kelce has shown during some of the Chiefs' Super Bowl parades, he is nowhere near as vocally gifted as his fiancé, so it is perhaps for the best that Kelce was an inspiration rather than a contributor to the The Life of a Showgirl.
Much like Swift is in music, Kelce is a huge success in his field with 10 Pro Bowl nods, four First Team All-Pro selections and three Super Bowl wins to his credit.
Kelce can now add the distinction of muse to the world's biggest pop star to his résumé, undoubtedly making him one of the most unique figures in sports.
