Eagles' A.J. Brown Says 'This Loss Sucks,' Talks Missed Connection with Jalen Hurts
After the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles suffered their first loss of the 2025 season on Sunday, star receiver A.J. Brown had a candid assessment for the unfamiliar feeling of losing.
"This loss sucks," Brown told reporters after Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Denver Broncos, which marked just the second time that the Eagles have lost in their last 22 games.
Philadelphia allowed Denver to score 18 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' last-second heave to the end zone was batted down to secure the win for the Broncos.

Brown finished with five catches for 43 yards on eight targets in the loss. He and Hurts had the chance to connect on a deep pass, but the ball was overthrown when it looked like Brown slowed down at the top of his route. Brown downplayed the failed connection when asked about it after the game, calling it "just a miss."
Brown and the Eagles will have to regroup quickly as they try to bounce back from their first loss of the season on Thursday Night Football against the New York Giants in Week 6.
