Teague Out vs. Nets

Monday, Nov. 16

According to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Teague is out for Tuesday's game as he did not travel with the team.

Teague's Injury Will Impact Effectiveness of Hawks' Offense

Teague was one of the 2014-15 season's ascendant stars, as he helped the Hawks secure the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed and a conference finals showdown with the Cleveland Cavaliers

Throughout that conquest, the floor general averaged 15.9 points and seven assists, making him one of seven qualified players to meet those statistical benchmarks, according to Basketball-Reference.com. As a result, Teague was honored with his first career selection to the Eastern Conference All-Star team.

Through 11 games this season, Teague is averaging a career-high 17.1 points per game to go along with 6.5 assists, but his shooting has decreased from a 46 percent success rate last year to 42.6 this season.

The Hawks continue to play well as a unit, sporting an 8-4 record, but Teague's ankle injury will certainly change the dynamic of Budenholzer's offense.

If Teague is forced to sit for an extended period, point guard Dennis Schroder's minutes figure to increase significantly. Schroder's not on par with Teague when it comes to his jump-shooting capabilities, but he can provide a spark as an off-the-bounce playmaker.
