Maxx Crosby Says Caleb Williams 'Earned My Respect' After Bears' Win vs. Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders superstar pass-rusher Maxx Crosby praised Chicago Bears second-year quarterback Caleb Williams following their meeting in Week 4.

Speaking this week on The Rush with Maxx Crosby, the four-time Pro Bowler was shown a clip of Williams calling Crosby "probably the best player that I've ever played against so far in my career."

Crosby reciprocated the respect for Williams, saying, "He's a competitor, bro. I'll give it to him, he didn't back down. He kept getting back up and kept trying to make plays. He definitely earned my respect."

Against the Bears, Crosby had his best game of the season thus far, registering five tackles, three tackles for loss, three passes defended, one forced fumble and the first interception of his NFL career.

Williams was constantly under siege, but he only took one sack, and he ended up going 22-of-37 for 212 yards with one touchdown and one pick in a 25-24 win.

Crosby noted that Williams was difficult to tackle, which may have been the biggest difference in the game, as the Heisman Trophy winner was able to avoid some negative plays with his elusiveness.

With Chicago trailing 24-19 in the fourth quarter, Williams led the Bears on an 11-play, 69-yard drive that culminated in a two-yard touchdown run by running back D'Andre Swift with 1:34 remaining.

The Raiders nearly drove for the winning score, but kicker Daniel Carlson had a 54-yard field goal blocked with 38 seconds remaining, sealing the victory for Chicago.

Now, the Bears are 2-2 on the year after winning just five games all of last season, while Crosby and the Raiders dropped to 1-3.
