Amon-Ra St. Brown Addresses Rumors He Played NBA 2K at 4 A.M. Before Lions vs. Browns

Scott PolacekOct 1, 2025

If Amon-Ra St. Brown truly was playing NBA 2K at 4 a.m. before the Detroit Lions faced the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, it didn't stop him from turning in a dominant performance.

Perhaps that is why he could sort of laugh about the situation while addressing such rumors on his podcast with his brother, Equanimeous St. Brown:

"You know I can't confirm or deny if I was on 2K at 4 a.m.," he said. "I do love playing 2K, though."

Fortunately for the Lions, those video game habits didn't stand in the way of their No. 1 receiver hauling in seven catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-10 victory. Cleveland hung around through the first three quarters, but the Lions were largely in control and put things away with two touchdowns in the fourth.

The second of those touchdowns came on a St. Brown reception.

Putting up 34 points against the Browns was impressive, as they just held the Green Bay Packers to 10 in a 13-10 victory the previous game.

Detroit has fully bounced back from its season-opening loss to the Packers and sits at 3-1 and in first place in the NFC North.

As long as those wins and touchdowns keep coming, the Lions will likely be fine with St. Brown playing 2K during his downtime.
