Tyreek Hill Posts Photo After Surgery on Knee Injury, Agent Says WR Will Play in 2026

Timothy RappSep 30, 2025

Tyreek Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told ESPN's Adam Schefter that the star wideout plans to play in 2026 after suffering a dislocated knee and multiple ligament injuries during Monday night's 27-21 win over the New York Jets.

"Obviously, his season's done," Miami head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Tuesday. "Our focus is, as a team, is to support him. I think there was some competitive greatness from our doctors, for critical execution in a very timely fashion that did very well for the injury for him. I can't say enough about that. And as a team, we're supporting our teammate. And he's very steadfast on us, as a team, getting ready for the Carolina Panthers. So, that's kind of where that's at."

The 31-year-old Hill was having a strong season in 2025, registering 21 receptions for 265 yards and a touchdown through parts of four games. He suffered his injury in the third quarter of Monday's game after he was tackled out of bounds following a reception.

Hill seemed to be in surprisingly good spirits immediately after suffering the injury:

"He was probably in the best spirits of any player that I've ever seen [have] such a terrible experience," McDaniel told reporters. "He immediately had wide eyes and was talking, 'I'm good, just make sure the guys get this win.' He was focused on the team."

The loss is a major one for the Dolphins, however, removing one of their most explosive weapons and quarterbackย Tua Tagovailoa's top option in the passing game. One positive for the Dolphins was the emergence of tight end Darren Waller on Monday night, who registered three catches for 27 yards and two touchdowns in his season debut after not playing last season.

Alongside Jaylen Waddle, Waller will be among the players asked to carry a bigger load without Hill.

"I feel like there will be a lot of guys in the receiver room that will have more opportunities to make plays. I have faith in them, especially from what I've seen over camp and the first few weeks," Waller told reporters. "Football is a game and a business where you got to move forward. There is no replacing [Hill], but I feel like we got guys that can get the job done."
