Parris Campbell Agrees to Cowboys Practice Squad Contract Amid CeeDee Lamb Injury

Zach BacharSep 30, 2025

The Dallas Cowboys signed wide receiver Parris Campbell to the team's practice squad on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Campbell previously spent time with the Cowboys in training camp before he was released with an injury settlement.

He'll provide depth for Dallas while star wideout CeeDee Lamb continues to recover from an ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 3.

ESPN's Todd Archer reported Sept. 22 that Lamb could be sidelined between three to four weeks due to the injury.

If Dallas' receiving corps continues to deal with health issues, Campbell may get called up from the practice squad.

The seventh-year receiver was initially selected with a second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts.

Campbell spent the first four years of his career with Indianapolis, hauling in 97 receptions for 983 yards and five touchdowns in 32 games as a member of the team.

He caught 20 passes for 104 yards with the New York Giants in 2023 before earning a Super Bowl title for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. Campbell only played in five regular-season games in his lone year with the Eagles, though.

The 28-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in March before an MCL sprain contributed to his release.

Campbell has has since been medically cleared to return, according to the team's official website.

He'll now compete for extended playing time in Lamb's absence with fellow practice squad receivers, including Jalen Brooks, Traeshon Holden and Jalen Cropper.
