Eagles' Nick Sirianni 'Not Concerned' About A.J. Brown Drama After WR's Cryptic Post

Adam WellsSep 30, 2025

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni isn't worried about A.J. Brown after the receiver's cryptic post on social media following Sunday's 31-25 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Appearing on 94WIP's morning show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie, Sirianni said he's "not concerned" about the situation with Brown.

Even when DeCamara tried to push back against the idea that there's nothing to be concerned about, Sirianni said his interpretation of Brown's post was reflective of someone who "wants to contribute to his football team because he knows he's able to contribute to his football team."

Brown's post on X featured a Bible verse from Mark 6:11: "If you're not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don't make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way."

Despite the vague social media comments from Brown, Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo said on Tuesday he's had a "great relationship" with the star wideout over the years.

"We spend a lot of time together. Great communication. We've had no problems. I know where his heart is, he wants to do anything to help us. As far as I'm concerned, we're in a good spot," Patullo added.

The post came after Brown caught two passes for seven yards on nine targets against the Bucs. He has been held to fewer than 30 receiving yards in three of the first four games.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts didn't complete a pass in the second half on Sunday (0-of-8) after going 15-of-16 for 130 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.

This season marks the first time that Brown has had multiple games with fewer than 30 receiving yards since 2023, when it happened three times in 17 games. That was also the same year he had six consecutive games with at least 125 receiving yards.

Since Brown hasn't specifically addressed the situation, everything is open to speculation. All indications from the Eagles coaching staff is things are operating normally.

There will certainly be a spotlight on Brown this coming week in a tough matchup against the Denver Broncos defense, but history suggests he will have a big breakout at some point.

It took until the second half of Week 3, when the Eagles were facing a big deficit against the Los Angeles Rams, for Brown to take over. But he made his presence felt with six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown in the 33-26 victory.
