Giants' Malik Nabers Gifts NBA Youngboy Signed Jersey in Photo after Knee Injury

New York Giants superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers had something to smile about after Sunday's game despite suffering a serious knee injury.

In a post on his Instagram Stories, Nabers took a photo with NBA Youngboy while holding his jersey, which he signed and personalized for the rapper:

Nabers suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday's 21-18 upset win over the Los Angeles Chargers, which is why he was sporting a knee brace and holding a crutch in the photo.

The 22-year-old Nabers has been outspoken about his NBA Youngboy fandom, recently naming the rapper when asked to choose his dream concert.

Selected sixth overall in the 2024 NFL draft out of LSU, Nabers burst onto the scene last season, racking up 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns en route to being named a Pro Bowler as a rookie.

Expectations were high for Nabers to build on that production this season, and the early returns were good with 16 receptions for 251 yards and two touchdowns through the Giants first three games.

Nabers had another two grabs for 20 yards on Sunday, but he won't get the opportunity to add to those numbers for the remainder of the season.

While losing an alpha receiver like Nabers is never a good thing, the timing is particularly poor for the Giants since rookie first-round pick Jaxson Dart was named the new starting quarterback ahead of the Week 4 game against the Chargers.

The G-Men pulled off the upset even with Nabers going out, but now Dart will be without his clear No. 1 wideout until next season.

Nabers could have bailed Dart out of some tough situations, but now the young signal-caller will have to rely on the likes of Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt at receiver, Theo Johnson at tight end and rookie Cam Skattebo out of the backfield.
