Week 5 Fantasy Football Rankings Guide for Top Players and Sleepers

Kristopher KnoxSep 29, 2025

Another week of NFL action has come, gone and brought more injuries and uncertainty to the fantasy football picture.

New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers (torn ACL) is the latest fantasy superstar to land on season-ending injured reserve. Now, managers have to deal with bye weeks on top of injuries and unexpected fantasy busts (sorry, Ladd McConkey managers).

As a reminder, the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers will be on bye this week.

Here, you'll find an early look at the top point-per-reception (PPR) rankings for Week 5, along with some intriguing sleepers.

Quarterback

1 of 4
Chargers Giants Football
Giants QB Jaxson Dart
  1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
  2. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
  3. Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders
  4. Justin Fields, New York Jets
  5. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
  6. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
  7. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
  8. Drake Maye, New England Patriots
  9. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
  10. Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Sleeper: Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart didn't have egregious numbers in first career start. However, he never appeared overwhelmed by a great Los Angeles Chargers defense, even after losing Nabers.

Dart finished Week 4 with 111 passing yards, a passing touchdown, 54 rushing yards and a rushing score.

It's Dart's dual-threat ability that makes him a legitimate sleeper against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5. New Orleans has surrendered just four yards per carry this season but surrendered 45 rushing yards and a touchdown to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen this past week.

The Saints have also surrendered nine passing touchdowns on the season. While Dart may not have excessive yardage totals, he could find the end zone multiple times.

Dart is rostered in only 23 percent of Yahoo leagues and 18 percent of ESPN leagues.

  14. Breece Hall, New York Jets
  15. Cuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
  16. J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos
  17. Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  18. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
  19. Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
  20. Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings

Sleeper: Woody Marks, Houston Texans

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks is the waiver wire target to prioritize this week. While the rookie out of USC wasn't heavily utilized over the first three weeks, he showed in limited action that he's a more explosive back than an aging Nick Chubb.

Marks finally got his chance to take the reins on Sunday, finishing with 17 carries, four receptions, 119 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns.

There's a very real chance that Marks maintains a high-volume role for the Texans moving forward. He also has a chance to make a major impact in Week 5 against a bad Baltimore Ravens defense. The Ravens have surrendered 4.6 yards per carry and seven rushing touchdowns this season.

Marks is rostered in 31 percent of Yahoo leagues and 28 percent of ESPN leagues.

Wide Receiver

Titans WR Elic Ayomanor

  2. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
  3. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks

  5. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals
  6. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
  7. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
  8. Garrett Wilson, New York Jets
  9. Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  10. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
  11. Deebo Samuel, Washington Commanders
  12. Courtland Sutton, Denver Broncos
  13. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins
  14. Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
  15. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens
  16. Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts
  17. Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs
  18. George Pickens, Dallas Cowboys
  19. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
  20. Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints

Sleeper: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans

Things have not gone well for rookie quarterback Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans offense this season. On Sunday, the Titans were blanked in a 26-0 game by the rival Houston Texans.

Rookie receiver Elic Ayomanor led the Titans with 44 receiving yards on two catches. While those aren't numbers that will excite fantasy managers, Ayomanor's role is noteworthy. He saw seven targets on Sunday, marking the second time he's hit that number this season. The rookie now leads the Titans in targets (25), receiving yards (151) and receiving touchdowns (2) on the year.

This week, Ayomanor and the Titans will visit the Arizona Cardinals, who have already surrendered more than 1,000 receiving yards this season. Ayomanor is rostered in only 31 percent of Yahoo leagues and 29 percent of ESPN leagues.

Tight End

Texans TE Dalton Schultz
  1. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
  2. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
  3. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
  4. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
  5. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
  6. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
  7. Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
  8. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
  9. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
  10. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

Sleeper: Dalton Schultz, TE, Houston Texans

A bigger workload for Marks appeared to help jump-start Houston's sluggish offense. So did involving veteran tight end Dalton Schultz, who finished with five catches for 30 yards.

For the first time this season, the Texans topped 300 yards and 20 points on Sunday.

While Schultz probably won't be more than a situational streamer moving forward, he does have a great matchup against Baltimore. The Ravens have been bad in pass coverage all season and won't have standout linebacker Roquan Smith for "a few weeks," because of a hamstring strain, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Schultz is rostered in 19 percent of Yahoo leagues and 11 percent of ESPN leagues.
