Jaxson Dart Says 'It's Not Appropriate' to Reveal Daboll's 'Explicit' Quote After Win

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and head coach Brian Daboll met near midfield Sunday after their team defeated the previously undefeated Los Angeles Chargers, 21-18.

It was an emotional moment for both of them, with Dart winning his first-ever start and Daboll, who is on the hot seat after a rough two-plus seasons (10-28), potentially getting some new life in town with his new quarterback, especially after losing his first three games this year before Sunday's victory.

As far as what was said between the two, Dart opted to keep that private when asked by Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, noting some colorful language.

"It's not appropriate for me to say what he told me," Dart told Breer postgame as he laughed. "It was explicit. It was two competitors fired up to win a ballgame against a tough team. We've had a good connection since the predraft process and it's continued to grow—I love playing for a coach who has a fire like I do."

Dart completed 13-of-20 passes for 111 yards, but he really showcased his versatility on the ground, running for 54 yards and a touchdown. He opened the scoring with a 15-yard scamper, helped by a great block from fellow rookie Cam Skattebo.

Those efforts, plus a great playmaking performance from the Giants' defense, propelled New York to the win.

Now Dart, Daboll and the rest of the Giants will look for their second straight win on Sunday, when they visit the winless New Orleans Saints.
