Dak Prescott Didn't Trash Talk Micah Parsons, Reacts to Viral Sack in Packers-Cowboys

Doric SamSep 29, 2025

Despite facing former teammate Micah Parsons for the first time in Sunday night's matchup against the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott kept things cordial.

"Zero," Prescott told reporters when asked if he trash-talked Parsons during the game, which ended in a 40-40 tie in overtime. "Not at all. Not at all. Until afterwards and it was great, good talks afterwards, staying healthy, great job, it was fun competing against you. But no talks happened at all during the game."

After the game, Parsons gave Prescott credit for his performance:

Even after Parsons recorded a clutch sack in overtime, Prescott kept quiet, saying, "I didn't know that was Micah quite on my back."

After the game, Prescott and Parsons exchanged pleasantries (around 15-second mark):

Prescott was at the top of his game in the primetime matchup, completing 31 of his 40 passes for 319 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while also adding a rushing touchdown. He was pressured on 14 of his 41 dropbacks but sustained the lone sack by Parsons in overtime.

Prescott praised the team for being able to neutralize Parsons in a game where the edge rusher was surely motivated to get some revenge.

"It goes back to the plan," Prescott said. "That it'll be all hands on deck, whether it be the tight ends, whether it be the running backs. Honestly, there were one-on-ones, and those tackles did their job. Stepped up and did what they needed to do, kept him off, and kept him away from me."

Parsons, who finished with three tackles, four quarterback pressures and the sack, had some nice things to say about Prescott's performance as well.

"You look how precise No. 4 looked tonight, just getting through his throws, getting to his receivers, the timing," Parsons said about Prescott. "I think he played a better game than we played defense. So, you know, shout-out to Dak, and I told him, I said, 'You go watch that film. You lucky if you wasn't on your s--t, it would've been a long day, it would've been a real long day for you,' but he played a hell of a game, and I give him kudos for that."

Now that the dust has settled, the Cowboys will continue to forge ahead in their new era without Parsons. Dallas will be back in action in Week 5 in a road matchup against the New York Jets.
