WWE's Jade Cargill Shares Gruesome Photos of Cut Suffered in Match vs. Stratton, Jax

Jade Cargill showed off photos of the nasty gash she suffered on her eyebrow during the WWE Women's Championship Triple Threat match against Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax on Friday night's episode of SmackDown.

In a post Saturday on her Instagram account, Cargill highlighted the deep cut she endured, seemingly during a spot involving the steel stairs with Jax.

Despite the injury, Jade carried on and hit Nia with a Samoan Drop onto the stairs. She also attempted a pin on Jax that was broken up by Tiffany, allowing Stratton to hit Jax with her moonsault finisher before pinning her to retain the title.

Cargill getting busted open set off a chaotic chain of events, as Jax kicked out of Jade's pinfall attempt at the same time Stratton broke it up, making for an awkward spot.

Then, Jax did not kick out of Stratton's pinfall attempt, forcing the referee to stop her count even though Nia's shoulders were still down.

In the end, Stratton utilized the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to pin Jax and retain the WWE women's title, setting up a huge match for Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia, next month.

Stratton will clash with women's world champion Stephanie Vaquer for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship after Vaquer beat Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza to win the women's world title.

Cargill has fallen just short in her bid to win the WWE Women's Championship on multiple occasions dating back to last month.

After losing to Stratton at SummerSlam, their rematch a couple of weeks ago on SmackDown ended in a double count-out.

Since Jade was not the one who got pinned this week on SmackDown, it leaves the door open for her to potentially go after the title again in the near future.

While the severity of the cut could force Jade to miss some time from an in-ring perspective, it could prove to be a blessing in disguise in terms of getting the fans behind her even more than they were before.
