Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron Headline 2025 WNBA All-Rookie Team

Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers added an All-Rookie nod to her list of achievement in a stellar first season in the WNBA.

The No. 1 overall pick was the standout from the 2025 draft class after fully living up to her massive hype. She was one of three All-Stars from the group, with the Washington Mystics' Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen also included on the All-Rookie team.

2025 WNBA All-Rookie Team

  • Paige Bueckers, G, Dallas Wings
  • Sonia Citron, G, Washington Mystics
  • Kiki Iriafen, F, Washington Mystics
  • Dominique Malonga, C, Seattle Storm
  • Janelle Salaรผn, F, Golden State Valkyries

For as much as Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark was celebrated for her first year in the W, Bueckers was arguably as good and maybe even better in 2025.

The former UConn star averaged 19.2 points on 47.7 percent shooting along with 5.4 assists and 1.6 steals.

Bueckers' two turnovers per game were one of her most impressive statistics. Her vision and playmaking were so far ahead of the curve for a rookie. Clark, by comparison, set a single-season record for assists (337) while also turning the ball over more times (223) than any player ever.

As a whole, the Wings fell short of expectations as they tied for the WNBA's worst record (10-34). Dallas at least knows it as a generational talent in Bueckers.

The future is equally bright in the nation's capital thanks to Citron and Iriafen.

The Mystics were sitting at .500 heading into the All-Star break, raising hopes of a playoff push in the second half. Washington faded badly en route to a 16-28 finish, yet that did little to dampen the general excitement around the franchise.

That's thanks to the performance of the Mystics' two lottery picks.

Citron averaged 14.9 points and 2.4 assists, and she shot an impressive 44.5 percent from beyond the arc to lead the WNBA.

Iriafen's polish as an inside scorer and rebounder were on display as she averaged 13.3 points and 8.5 boards. Only the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese, Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson and Phoenix Mercury's Alyssa Thomas had a better rebounding average.

Dominique Malonga impressed off the bench for Seattle, averaging 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while becoming a top candidate for Sixth Woman of the Year. Janelle Salaรผn was the third-leading scorer for the Valkyries with 11.3 points per game as a key player in the franchise's inaugural season.
