Week 4 Fantasy Football Cheat Sheet for Deep Sleepers to Grab on Waiver Wire
In what seems to be a yearly occurrence, early NFL injuries have once again impacted the fantasy landscape. More stars were lost to season-ending injuries in Week 3, including Nick Bosa, Najee Harris and James Conner.
They join an already star-studded list of injured players that includes Joe Burrow, George Kittle, Khalil Mack and Aaron Jones.
Bye weeks are quickly approaching too—they'll begin in Week 5—which will spread many fantasy rosters even thinner than they already are. The time to search for potential replacements on the waiver wire is now.
Before we jump into this week's top waiver targets, let's review the top flex plays for points-per-reception (PPR) formats.

Deep Sleeper: Tory Horton, WR, Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks rookie receiver Tory Horton hasn't reached star status just yet. However, he's beginning to carve out a prominent role in Seattle's offense. After receiving zero targets in Week 1, Horton has been targeted four times in each of the past two games, finishing both with three receptions, 32 yards and a touchdown.
Horton also scored on a punt return in Week 3, which could earn him increased opportunities moving forward. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak should look to get the football in his hands.
Despite being on a short week and on the road, Horton has a solid matchup in Week 4. He'll visit the Arizona Cardinals, who have surrendered the 12th-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
Horton is still available in over 90 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Deep Sleeper: Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
4 of 4.jpg)
Finding quality running backs on the waiver wire this year has been difficult when injuries haven't been directly involved—Cardinals back Trey Benson, for example, jumped into starter status when Conner went down for the year.
However, managers should consider making an early play for Houston Texans rookie back Woody Marks. While Nick Chubb remains Houston's starter, Marks could take over as the lead back in the coming weeks.
Marks is the more explosive of the two runners at this point in their careers, and Houston simply isn't opening up many running lanes. After seeing just seven touches in the first two weeks combined, Marks saw seven in Week 3.
While Marks is still firmly in deep-sleeper territory, that will quickly change if he has a good outing against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Tennessee, by the way, has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing RBs.
Marks is available in over 80 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
