Tom Brady Denies He Got $75M Contract for Fanatics Flag Football Game in Saudi Arabia

Legendary quarterback Tom Brady is set to return to the field in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in Saudi Arabia next March, but he's setting the record straight about his compensation.

While discussing Brady's participation in next year's event during an episode of Wake Up Barstool, Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports declared that he was told "$75 million he got paid to do this." Brady responded to the claim on social media and denied that the monetary figure is accurate:

Rather than walking back his comments, Portnoy doubled down and responded to Brady's post by tweeting, "That's the number I was told. Let the record show we did ask you to come on Wake Up Barstool to discuss. The door is always open." In another post, he wrote, "By the way wouldn't that be a compliment to Tom Brady? Nobody would turn down 75 million. What do we think the real number is then? I feel like I trusted the people who told me but either way I'd rather the number in public be higher rather than lower."

Brady is working as the lead NFL analyst for Fox Sports, and he's also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Portnoy is also employed by Fox and has been appearing on the network's college football pregame show Big Noon Kickoff this season.

It remains to be seen if this spat between coworkers will lead to any repercussions, as Portnoy's unverified claims got under Brady's skin enough that he felt the need to set the record straight.
