Shilo Sanders Reportedly Works Out for 49ers, Deion's Son Is NFL FA After Bucs Release
Shilo Sanders is hoping to keep his NFL dreams alive after being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he got one step closer to doing so on Tuesday.
Per CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, the undrafted rookie defensive back worked out with the San Francisco 49ers.
After going undrafted in April, Sanders signed with the Bucs and spent the summer and training camp with them. The Bucs cut Sanders in August after he didn't do much to impress during the preseason. He was also ejected from a preseason game after throwing a punch at Zach Davidson.

Unlike his younger brother, fifth-round draft pick Shedeur, Sanders didn't have the same kind of hype coming out of college.
He spent two seasons with South Carolina before joining his father at Jackson State in 2021 and 2022. He then followed Deion Sanders to Colorado for his final two seasons.
In his last campaign with the Buffaloes, he recorded 67 tackles, two passes defended, a sack and a forced fumble. While he flashed some potential in college, he wasn't quite a standout, and the fact that he's already 25 years old means he doesn't have as much time to develop.
Still, he'll look to land a spot on the 49ers roster and impress them enough to stick around for a while.
If things don't work out in the NFL, Sanders' father believes he'll be able to find success in other fields. Deion Sanders said last week that he thinks his son could make it in the entertainment industry.
"I was gonna go down that avenue once upon a time," Sanders said last week. "I think that's the avenue that—or streaming like iShowsSpeed—that Shilo's going to go down. Cause he has that gift, man. It's a very attractive personality. It's just fun. He's a fun kid, man, and I'm proud of him right now."
For now, he'll focus on making an NFL roster.
