Week 4 Waiver Wire Fantasy Projections for Top Pickups and Sleeper Targets
Sometimes, the fantasy life doesn't feel fair. It's hard enough to beat opponents who actually remember to set their lineups. Battling the injury bug at the same time is quite a challenge.
The bug is being particularly bothersome this season. The list of injured stars already out for the season or on injured reserve already includes Joe Burrow, George Kittle, Aaron Jones, Nick Bosa, Najee Harris and James Conner. CeeDee Lamb is expected to miss multiple weeks, while Xavier Worthy's status continues to remain murky.
The good news is that the 2025 season has already seen several sleepers emerge, and a few of them are likely still available in your league.
Let's take a look at this week's top waiver targets and make a few predictions. All picks and analysis are based on point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.
Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson can no longer be considered a sleeper. With Conner out for the year, Benson is set to become a high-volume starter in Arizona.
Benson has averaged just under 10 touches per game as Conner's backup this season.
However, Benson is also the top waiver target of Week 4. Good backs have been particularly difficult to find on the wire this season, and Benson is still available in nearly half of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Benson should have a solid outing on Thursday night against a Seattle Seahawks team that has surrendered the 13th-most fantasy points to opposing RBs.
Week 4 Projection: 59 rushing yards, 4 receptions, 28 receiving yards
Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders

Wide receivers have been more plentiful on the wire this year, but that doesn't mean that Tre Tucker isn't worth a flier. The third-year wideout is coming off of a 145-yard, three-touchdown performance that shouldn't be viewed as a fluke.
While Tucker (probably) isn't going to tally a trio of touchdowns this week, he should stay heavily involved in the Las Vegas Raiders' offense. He's been targeted 17 times over the past two games and will maintain Geno Smith's confidence after Sunday's breakout.
Tucker is also set to have a fantastic matchup against the Chicago Bears this week. Only the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants have surrendered more fantasy points to opposing receivers than Chicago.
Managers should have a good chance to land Tucker, who is rostered in only five percent of Yahoo leagues and one percent of ESPN leagues.
Week 4 Projection: 5 receptions, 89 yards
Luther Burden III, WR, Chicago Bears

Playing opposite Tucker this week will be Bears rookie Luther Burden III. He also had a breakout game in Week 3, catching three passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Burden is much more of a boom-or-bust candidate than Tucker. He wasn't heavily involved in the offense before facing a terrible Dallas Cowboys defense, and 65 of his 103 receiving yards in 2025 came on a single reception.
The Missouri product has been targeted only six times all season.
Of course, Burden has an enticing-enough matchup to bet on in Week 4. The Raiders have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
Burden is rostered in only 11 percent of Yahoo leagues and 18 percent of ESPN leagues.
Week 4 Projection: 4 receptions, 65 yards
Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. has cooled off just a bit since his seven-catch, 63-yard debut in Week 1. However, he's had at least three receptions in every game and has 15 catches for 136 yards on the season.
Fannin leads all rookies in receptions through three weeks.
This week brings the potential for another strong game, as the Browns will visit the Detroit Lions. While Detroit's defense can make life difficult for quarterback Joe Flacco, it may struggle to corral Cleveland's tight ends. The Lions have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing TEs.
Fannin is rostered in 47 percent of Yahoo leagues and only one percent of ESPN leagues.
Week 4 Projection: 5 receptions, 51 yards
