Jets' Quincy Williams Reportedly to Miss at Least 4 Games with Shoulder Injury
The New York Jets will be without one of their best players on defense for a while.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Williams "is expected to miss time" after suffering a shoulder injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. ESPN's Rich Cimini added that the Jets will place Williams on the injured reserve, meaning he'll be out for at least four games.
Williams, a third-round pick in 2019, has been a key member of the Jets' defense since he joined the team in 2021, and he earned a Pro Bowl nod in 2023 after collecting 139 tackles, two sacks and an interception.

While Williams will have to miss at least four games and possibly more, it's a good sign that the injury doesn't appear to be season-ending.
With Williams sidelined for a while, the Jets signed linebacker Mark Robinson off the New England Patriots' practice squad, according to Pelissero. Robinson, a seventh-round pick in 2022, appeared in all 17 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season but recorded just six tackles.
The Jets will be without Williams for matchups against the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.
