Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings, Top Players, Sleepers and Positional Guide
Typically, we have a fairly clear picture of the fantasy football landscape by this point in the NFL season. However, things are murkier than usual this year, for a variety of reasons.
For one, we're still learning which teams are actually good and which players will actually have prominent roles in 2025. Secondly, injuries have heavily impacted every single fantasy position.
Quarterback Joe Burrow and tight end George Kittle were among the fantasy stars already on injured reserve entering Week 3. Over the weekend, wideout CeeDee Lamb, running back James Conner and pass-rusher Nick Bosa suffered injuries of their own—Bosa's and Conner's being season-ending.
Managers may quickly be running out of healthy stars, but they're not entirely out of options. Here, you'll find early point-per-reception (PPR) rankings and a brief overview of each key fantasy position.
Quarterback

- Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
- Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens
- Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
- Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
- Drake Maye, New England Patriots
- Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
- Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
- Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
- Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
- Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
- Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Overview
Things should be fairly straightforward at quarterback this week, at least as far as healthy signal-callers are concerned. Managers will need to monitor Jayden Daniels (knee), Justin Fields (concussion), J.J. McCarthy (ankle) and Brock Purdy (toe/shoulder), who all missed Week 4 along with Burrow.
Managers may also want to downgrade Dak Prescott and Baker Mayfield, as CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and Mike Evans (hamstring) are banged up.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has the juiciest matchup of the week, as the Dallas Cowboys have been horrid against the pass this season and have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing QBs.
On the sleeper front, Matthew Stafford looms as a top option. He has two terrific receivers in Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, and he's still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
Carson Wentz, who threw a pair of touchdowns in place of McCarthy on Sunday, is also worth consideration if the Minnesota Vikings starter isn't back in the lineup. Minnesota will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing QBs.

- Quinshon Judkins, Cleveland Browns
- Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
Overview
The big news at running back this week involves the injuries of Conner and Najee Harris. Both are headed to season-ending injured reserve, which will impact their respective backfields.
Managers should look to scoop up Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson, who should now take over as the starter. He's rostered in just over 50 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
Harris' injury should mean even more work for Los Angeles Chargers rookie Omarion Hampton. He also has a wonderful Week 4 matchup against the New York Giants, who have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing RBs.
Managers should consider New York Jets running back Braelon Allen as a strong sleeper in Week 4. He saw eight touches to Breece Hall's 13 on Sunday, and both backs could see extensive work against the rival Miami Dolphins next week.
The Dolphins have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.

- DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers
- Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers

- Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
- DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
- Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders
- Jameson Williams, Detroit Lions
Overview
Lamb's injury is the most noteworthy of Week 4. He's expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. That's a tough break for Lamb managers, but it should boost the value of teammate George Pickens.
Managers should also note that Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase won't remain matchup-proof with Jake Browning at quarterback in place of Burrow. Chase had a modest five catches for 50 yards against the Denver Broncos in Week 3.
Fellow Bengals receiver Tee Higgins can probably go to the bench for the foreseeable future.
Managers should feel very good about starting Chicago Bears receiver Rome Odunze this week. He had three receptions for 62 yards and a score against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday and is set to face a Las Vegas Raiders defense that has surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers.
Bears rookie Luther Burden III is a strong sleeper play against the Raiders following a 101-yard, one-touchdown outing against Dallas. Burden is rostered in 11 percent of Yahoo leagues and 18 percent of ESPN leagues.
Tennessee Titans rookie Elic Ayomanor is another waiver target to consider, coming off a 38-yard, one-touchdown game. He appears to have replaced Calvin Ridley as Cam Ward's favorite target. Ayomanor is rostered in 21 percent of Yahoo leagues and only four percent of ESPN leagues.
Tight End

- Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
- Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
- Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders
- Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys
- Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
- T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings
- Hunter Henry, New England Patriots
- Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills
- Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions
- Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons
- Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
- Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints
Overview
Kittle is the main injury at tight end, though we're still waiting for the 2025 debuts of Isaiah Likely (foot) and Darren Waller (hip). Waller is expected to play against the Jets in Week 4 but is also expected to be on a snap count.
"It's probably more situational," Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said, per Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post.
Managers will want to track Broncos tight end Evan Engram, who missed Week 4 with a back injury.
Cardinals star Trey McBride is the top play of Week 4 and has the top matchup. No team has allowed more fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season than the Seattle Seahawks.
A few intriguing tight ends should still be available on the wire, including Cleveland Browns rookie Harold Fannin Jr., who is rostered in 47 percent of Yahoo leagues and only one percent of ESPN leagues.
Jets rookie Mason Taylor is also worth a look this week. He's rostered in only six percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues and is set to face a Dolphins defense that has surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing TEs.
