Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups Highlighted by Trey Benson, Tre Tucker, Elic Ayomanor

Zach BuckleySep 22, 2025

With three weeks of the 2025 NFL season (mostly) in the books, fantasy football managers may find themselves in need of roster reinforcements.

Maybe you've been hit especially hard by the injury bug. Or perhaps you're scrambling to find alternatives to underperforming draft picks.

Either way, there's at least a decent chance your roster needs some kind of help. And we're here to help you find it.

Let's hit the waiver wire, folks, and uncover three of our favorite adds (rostered in fewer than 70 percent of Yahoo leagues, per FantasyPros) for Week 4.

Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals (52% Rostered)

Benson, a third-round pick in 2024, had generated a bit of preseason fantasy buzz as either a change-of-pace option for the Cardinals or even a timeshare partner with Arizona starter James Conner. Benson's fantasy stock is about to spike, though, with Conner reportedly out for the season now, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, due to a gruesome ankle injury suffered Sunday.

So far, Benson had made the most of his rather limited opportunities. His 21 carries have spanned an average of six yards, and he's hauled in eight of the 11 passes sent his direction.

With big-play burst and now seemingly an every-down role in hand, Benson's potential just went through the roof. Save for quarterback Kyler Murray, there isn't really another obvious player to compete with Benson for carries. Third-year running back Emari Demercado is the only other Cardinals running back to get a carry this season, and he's tallied zero yards on two attempts.

By this time next week, Benson should be universally rostered. Get your waiver claims in early and be aggressive with your FAAB budget.

Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders (4% Rostered)

Look, it's entirely possible Tucker just played the game of his life. If you're adding him and hoping for a repeat of his monstrous Week 3 showing (eight catches for 145 yards and three scores), you're bound to be disappointed.

That was the first 100-yard receiving effort of his career, and the three scores account for one-third of his career touchdowns (nine in 36 games played).

That said, we're still very much recommending giving him consideration—just with realistic expectations attached. Even if he's not the difference-maker he appeared on Sunday, he can still be a useful player in fantasy. In Week 1, he caught a touchdown pass. In Week 2, he tied standout tight end Brock Bowers for the second-most targets on the team (eight).

Things are clearly trending up for Tucker, and the volume of this passing attack alone is noteworthy. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith might not be the model of consistency, but he is tied for eighth in passing attempts (106) and ranks second overall in yards (831). If he's passing this frequently and gaining confidence in Tucker, then the upside here speaks for itself.

Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans (21% Rostered)

A fourth-round rookie, Ayomanor looks like he's already pushing for WR1 status in Tennessee. And while that might seem super noteworthy considering the Titans are starting a rookie quarterback with a 54.5 completion percentage (Cam Ward), it sure looks like Tennessee will be airing it out while so often playing from behind (0-3, tied for the league's worst scoring differential at minus-43).

While Ward has struggled to form an on-field connection with Calvin Ridley (eight receptions on 21 targets), there haven't been the same hiccups with Ayomanor. The rookie has hauled in a respectable 10-of-18 targets, plus he's been on the receiving end of both of Ward's two touchdown passes.

The Ward-Ayomanor connection looks like it's improving, too. In Week 1, the pair connected on only two of their seven attempts. In the two games since, Ayomanor has delivered eight receptions on 11 targets with a touchdown catch in each contest.

If things keep trending this direction, Ayomanor has obvious Flex appeal and could emerge as simply a reliable WR option. If you can snatch him up on waivers now, that investment might return season-long dividends.
