Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver-Wire Pickups, Rankings and Box Score Stat Projections

Erik BeastonSep 22, 2025

Through three weeks of the NFL season, superstar players have balled out, giving managers confidence that they picked the right guy to help their team to victory in their fantasy leagues.

There have also been several waiver wire pickups and surprise breakout players who have made their presence felt, surprising some and guiding others to weekly wins.

Entering Week 4, there are several players buried in the waiver wire who managers should consider picking up in hopes that they will guide them to more success.

Who are they and what are the positional rankings for the week? Find out in this fantasy preview.

Quarterback Rankings

1 of 4
Colts Titans Football

Week 4 quarterback rankings are as follows:

  1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints
  2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
  3. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  4. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Philadelphia Eagles
  5. Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders
  6. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals
  7. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks
  8. Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
  9. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
  10. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts

Waiver Wire Pickup: Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams

Jones should already be rosters and the fact that, through three weeks, the breakout fantasy starter of 2025 is still only rostered in 29.7 percent of leagues is baffling.

The Colts signal caller has finished in the top 10 at his position each week of the season and against a Rams defense that gave up 29 fantasy points to Jalen Hurts in Week 3, should have an opportunity to continue that trend.

Even if he struggles against what has been an otherwise solid Rams defense, Jones has more than proven himself worthy of a spot on any manager's roster at this point and has out-performed higher-profile selections such as Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, Jordan Love, and Bo Nix.

He has scored at least one passing touchdown in each game this year and has added three rushing scores. Do not be the manager who loses their league because someone else was smart enough to, at the very least, grab and stash Danny Dimes.

Predicted Stats: 24-35, 240 yards, TD, 7 carries, 40 yards, TD

Running Backs

2 of 4
Dolphins Bills Football

Week 4 running back rankings are as follows:

  1. Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders
  2. James Cook, Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints
  3. Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns
  4. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
  5. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts
  6. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams
  7. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  8. Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers at Dallas Cowboys
  9. Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Chicago Bears
  10. De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

Sleeper: Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets

Gordon was a non-factor through the first two weeks of the season but a nine-carry, 38-yard performance against Buffalo in Week 3 in which he scored a touchdown was enough to make managers sit up and take notice of the Oklahoma State product.

That head coach Mike McDaniel has a history of having two impactful fantasy backs on his team (Raheem Mostert, anyone?) only makes him that much more of an intriguing option, particularly given Tua Tagovailoa's struggles thus far in 2025.

Having proven what he was capable of against a great Bills squad last Thursday night, look for Gordon to see his opportunities increase, especially if Miami can avoid early blowouts.

A Week 4 game with division foe New York, who is allowing 21.60 points to opposing backs.

Predicted Stats: 8 carries, 50 yards, reception, 5 yards, TD

Wide Receivers

3 of 4
Raiders Commanders Football

Wide receiver rankings for Week 4 are:

  1. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns
  2. Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings at Pittsburgh Steelers
  3. Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts
  4. Nico Collins, Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans
  5. AJ Brown, Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  6. Drake London, Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders
  7. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
  8. Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
  9. Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals at Denver Broncos
  10. Rome Odunze, Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders

Waiver Wire Pickup: Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Chicago Bears

If there is one receiver with whom Geno Smith has proven chemistry thus far in Las Vegas, it is Tre Tucker. The two hooked up for three touchdowns Sunday against Washington and the breakout performance had been two weeks in the making.

Tucker has been targeted 20 times through three games, catching 13 passes and scoring four times. He has been a safety blanket of sorts for Smith, whose targets outside of Brock Bowers are limited.

Rostered in under three percent of all fantasy leagues, Tucker is widely available and a receiver that managers should be giddy about potentially adding to their rosters, especially as Las Vegas is likely to be throwing its way back into games amid a porous defense.

Against Chicago, who is giving up the fourth-most fantasy points in the league to opposing wide receivers, Tucker should have a big day in Week 4.

Predicted Stats: 6 receptions, 80 yards, TD

Tight Ends

4 of 4
Steelers Patriots Football

The tight end rankings for Week 4 are:

  1. Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks
  2. Brock Bowers, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Chicago Bears
  3. TJ Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings at Pittsburgh Steelers
  4. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns
  5. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens
  6. Hunter Henry, New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers
  7. Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints
  8. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  9. Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders vs. Atlanta Falcons
  10. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams

Waiver Wire Pickup: Henry, New England vs. Carolina

The Patriots got a big day out of Hunter Henry against Pittsburgh in Week 3, in which he caught eight of 11 balls for 90 yards and two touchdowns. It was one of those monster days the veteran tight end is good for every so often and while that should be cause for concern for managers who desire consistency, Henry has been targeted 22 times in three games, suggesting he will remain a go-to target for young Drake Maye.

Carolina is seventh-worst against opposing tight ends in fantasy, giving up 15.4 points per game. Expect Henry to have an impact against the Panthers, whose ability to shut out opposing offenses, as they did in Week 3 against a floundering Falcons squad, should not be expected to be the norm.

Predicted Stats: 6 receptions, 75 yards, TD
