Tom Brady Talks Caleb Williams-Ben Johnson During Cowboys-Bears, Jokes About Belichick
Early on in his tenure as a head coach, Chicago Bears' Ben Johnson's intensity has stood out. During his broadcast of the Bears vs. Dallas Cowboys, Tom Brady joked that he didn't know what it was like to have an intense coach.
"I had such a player-friendly coach in Coach (Bill) Belichick," Brady said. "He'd always tell me how great I did."
While Brady joked about Belichick's intensity, he added that the pressure he felt from his head coach helped form him into the all-time great he went on to be.

"You know, there was a high demand of excellence, let's say that," Brady said. "Believe me, when you're a pro quarterback, you'd much rather have your coach be hard than easy. Sometimes with growing pains it's, 'I've got to get these guys outside of their comfort zone,' from a coaching standpoint, to help them grow and to understand the magnitude and the trust that the organization is giving to them."
Belichick helped turn Brady into one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and now Johnson is hoping to do the same.
Williams had some shaky performances to start the year, but he played well against the Cowboys, throwing for 298 yards and four touchdowns in the 31-14 win.
