Week 4 Waiver Wire Breakout Fantasy Football Pickups from Sunday's Box Scores

Erik BeastonSep 21, 2025

Breakout pickups have helped define this season of fantasy football, with young players like Bhayshul Tuten in Jacksonville and Jacory Croskey-Merritt in Washington making impact, scoring plays for their teams and contributing to fantasy leagues immediately.

They are not the only ones, with under-the-radar receivers netting scores in multiple games and a running back just beginning to see touches for his Super Bowl-contending team.

Who are they and why are they worth managers' time and attention?

Find out with this preview of waiver wire pickups and potential breakout stars ahead of Week 4.

Elic Ayomanor, WR, Tennessee Titans

APTOPIX Rams Titans Football

Elic Ayomanor has yet to put up big yardage, but he has been targeted seven, six, and five times, respectively, through the first three weeks of the season. He has also scored twice in three games, making up for the lack of total yards.

Some may be hesitant after his performance against Indianapolis Sunday, when he did not find the end zone and was targeted his fewest times to date, but he has already established chemistry with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, Cam Ward, and could prove to be a safety blanket of sorts in the red zone.

He is a tough sell to those in regular fantasy leagues. Still, managers in deeper ones should consider Aymanor as a player with strong upside and a potential favorite target of Ward's.

A Week 4 match-up against Houston, whose defense is 10th-worst against opposing wide receivers, should see the Stanford product get back to producing and, potentially, have an impact on those fantasy leagues with more bench space than others.

He is currently available in well over three-fourths of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams may have suffered a devastating loss in Week 3 against Philadelphia, but they also got a taste of what a shared backfield featuring Kyren Williams and Blake Corum could look like.

The latter, a Michigan product whose first season in Los Angeles was unproductive, started 2025 much the same way. He had an eight-carry, 53-yard day, averaging 6.6 yards against the Eagles.

That comes one week after a game in Tennessee in which he found the end zone for the first time this season and finished with 10.4 fantasy points.

While there is reason to be hesitant given just how much Williams has been the workhorse for the Rams since his rookie season, head coach Sean McVay has expressed that he ideally would see a 65-36 percent split for his running backs, at least.

If that is the case, Corum will be worked more consistently into the offense, with an opportunity to benefit the Rams backfield and fantasy managers looking to add depth to their rosters.

In Week 4, the Rams host a Colts team that has been explosive offensively, but whose defense is giving up 21 fantasy points to opposing running backs, opening the door for Corum to make plays and even earn more touches.

He is available in 83 percent of ESPN and 94 percent of Yahoo leagues.

Cedric Tillman, WR, Cleveland Browns

3 of 3
Packers Browns Football

Cedric Tillman has been among Joe Flacco's favorite targets through three games this season, targeted 18 times. He has caught 10 balls for 100 yards and scored a touchdown in each of his first two games.

He had a quiet day against Green Bay in a defensive struggle, but still caught all three balls thrown to him, for 26 yards.

He tallied double-digit fantasy points in those first two games, against Cincinnati and Baltimore, and will be a factor in the Browns' offense throughout the season, regardless of whether it is Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, or Shedeur Sanders under center.

In Week 4, he faces a Detroit defense that gives up the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers and has allowed three red zone touchdowns. Tillman could have a big day, especially as defenses focus their attention on slowing Jerry Jeudy.

Tillman is available in over half of ESPN and Yahoo leagues.
