Fabian Delph Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Potential Manchester City Move

Aston Villa's Fabian Delph is heading to Manchester City despite recently committing himself to the Birmingham outfit. City announced the signing on Friday. 

David Ornstein of BBC Sport reported on July 17 that new life had been breathed into Delph's proposed switch to the Etihad Stadium:

Delph has clearly performed quite the turnaround since committing himself to Villa less than a week ago amid reports of an imminent switch to the Etihad Stadium, per ITV Football:

City likely activated the 25-year-old's £8 million release clause if they are to sign him, per the Guardian's Jamie Jackson.

Delph is a useful addition at City and bolsters their central-midfield ranks, as well as helping them fulfil their required quota of homegrown players.
