Lynx's DiJonai Carrington Out for Rest of WNBA Playoffs with 'Significant' Foot Injury
Minnesota Lynx guard DiJonai Carrington will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA playoffs with a "significant" sprain in her left foot, the team announced Saturday.
The sprain will sideline her for the Lynx's upcoming semifinal series against the Phoenix Mercury, which tips off Sunday at 5 p.m. ET in Minnesota.
Carrington suffered the left foot injury on Wednesday during the Lynx's 75-74 series-clinching Game 2 win over the Golden State Valkyries.

The extent of the injury was revealed after Carrington underwent an MRI, according to the Lynx.
Carrington was reportedly seen on crutches when attending Alanna Smith's Defensive Player of the Year press conference on Friday, per ESPN's Kendra Andrews.
The Lynx loaded up for the playoffs by acquiring Carrington, a member of the 2024 All-Defensive First Team, in an August trade from the Dallas Wings.
Carrington averaged 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 steals, mostly off the bench, in 11 regular-season games before she sat out the last four contests of the campaign with a shoulder injury.
She returned in time for the first round, during which she averaged 8.5 points while being tasked with top defensive matchups in the Lynx's series sweep.
Carrington left Thursday's Game 2 for the last time with 2:57 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The Valkyries were leading by one point at the time, but the Lynx pulled ahead in the final minutes to clinch the series with a comeback victory.
Losing Carrington will provide a significant test of the Lynx's bench depth heading into the upcoming series against the Mercury.
Lynx guard Natisha Hiedeman and forward Jessica Shepard, each of whom received votes for the WNBA's Sixth Player of the Year award before it went to Atlanta Dream forward Naz Hillmon, could see a jump in playing time when the Lynx tip off against the Mercury on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
