The Oilers will wear this jersey seven times during the upcoming season, starting with an Oct. 28 home game against the Utah Mammoth.
The scripted "s" at the end of the logo is designed to look like an oil drop, the Oilers noted.
The tan jersey also features an orange oil drop stitched on a blue tag on the back hemline, according to the team.
The collar of the sweater is stitched with "Let's go Oilers." The blue collar is meant to signify "how Oil Country was built," the team said in its Saturday press release.
The jersey will be available in the Oilers team store beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7.
The Oilers open the 2025-26 season the following day with a home game against the visiting Calgary Flames.
Edmonton will wear the new jerseys in four more home games including on Dec. 4 versus the Seattle Kraken, on Dec. 6 against the Winnipeg Jets, on Dec. 23 versus Calgary Flames and on Jan. 31 against the Minnesota Wild.
The team will also wear the jerseys during a back-to-back set of road games when playing the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Jan. 12 and the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Jan. 13.
This marks the first time Oilers players have donned an alternate sweater since the 2023-24 season. The team stuck to only home blues and road whites during the 2024-25 campaign, according to the NHL Uniform Database.
The team's most recent alternate prior to the tan sweaters was the navy blue jersey with orange letter and logos that players wore from 2019 to 2024, per the NHL Uniform Database.
