Why Tiffany Stratton's Match Reportedly Isn't at WWE Wrestlepalooza amid Injury Rumors

WWE reportedly made a late decision to pull the WWE Women's Championship Triple Threat between Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill and Nia Jax from Saturday's Wrestlepalooza card.

According to PWInsider.com (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), the match was shifted from Wrestlepalooza to next week's episode of SmackDown due to pacing and logistical reasons, as WWE didn't want the Wrestlepalooza card to be overcrowded.

The official Wrestlepalooza event shirt that was sold at the Wrestlepalooza Superstore in Indianapolis this week featured the Stratton vs. Cargill vs. Jax match graphic, which led to speculation among fans that it would be added to the card during Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Instead, a segment involving Stratton, Cargill and Jax set up the match for next week's SmackDown.

Stratton was also originally scheduled to compete in a six-woman tag team match at NXT Homecoming this week, but she was pulled and replaced by Lyra Valkyria.

That led to rumors and speculation that Stratton was injured last week during her title defense against Cargill, which ended in a double count-out before Jax showed up and attacked both of them.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Thomas Lawson of SEScoops.com) even reported that Stratton was injured, but that apparently isn't the case.

With no Stratton vs. Cargill vs. Jax on the Wrestlepalooza card, it is a five-match event, which has been typical for WWE PLEs over the past year.

Wrestlepalooza is the first WWE PLE that will air exclusively on the ESPN Unlimited direct-to-consumer streaming service, and a huge match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar will open the show.

Also, AJ will wrestle her first match in over a decade when she teams with CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, The Usos will take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and Iyo Sky will do battle with Stephanie Vaquer for the vacant Women's World Championship.
