Preview

Las Vegas enters the semifinal as a bigger favorite to advance to the WNBA Finals than Minnesota.

The Aces take on the upset-minded Fever, who knocked out the third-seeded Atlanta Dream in three games.

Indiana won two of the three regular-season meetings with the Aces, so there's a chance the series is more competitive than many people expect.

The Fever and Aces haven't met, though, since Las Vegas started its winning run in August. The Aces have a single loss since August 3, which occurred in Game 2 of the first-round series with the Seattle Storm.

Phoenix took out the reigning champion New York Liberty in the first round and now gets the top-seeded Lynx in the semifinals.

Minnesota produced the WNBA's best regular-season record and swept the Golden State Valkyries in the first round.

The Lynx have the edge in form and rest over the Mercury, who have to travel on short rest to Minnesota to open the semifinal series on Sunday.

Minnesota went 3-1 against the Mercury in the regular season. The Lynx earned two of those victories by double digits.

Either one of Las Vegas or Minnesota participated in the WNBA Finals in each of the last three seasons.

The WNBA is guaranteed to have a new champion since the Liberty were knocked out by the Mercury.
