Buy or Sell WWE WrestleMania 2027 in the US After All, Liv Morgan Plans, More Rumors

Chris RolingSep 19, 2025

What would normally be a relatively quiet stretch of the pro wrestling calendar, with limited WWE events, has morphed into something else entirely.

Rather than let an "offseason" of sorts progress normally, WWE has Wrestlepalooza on Saturday, then a Crown Jewel overseas show in October, Survivor Series in November and two special Saturday Night's Main Event shows before the end of the year, too.

Got all that?

Understandably, the pro wrestling rumor mill has matched the energy, throwing out big items like possible booking plans for top stars, names capable of switching companies and even WWE's future plans for loaded calendar stretches just like this.

Here's a look at the most notable buzz making the rounds and whether fans should buy or sell on each item.

LIV Morgan Feud Plans?

The Rumor

Those wanting Liv Morgan info will need to wait, it seems. According to BodySlam.net (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), there are no discussions about her feuding with Roxanne Perez after returning from injury.

Reaction

Feel free to add a 'yet' disclaimer to this one. Morgan has been out with a shoulder injury since June. Perez has stepped into the spotlight of The Judgment Day in the interim at times, which has made for some fun storytelling and possibilities for the future.

Buy or Sell?

Buy. WWE probably isn't discussing much of anything with Morgan right now until some green lights about her return start to pop up. It's too much of a week-to-week and even day-to-day booking process to start making big plans before medical clearance.

Lucha Brothers…happening?

The Rumor

Are WWE fans close to getting an iconic tag team? According to BodySlam.net (h/t Mukherjee), one of the ideas circulating within WWE is reuniting Fenix and Penta.

Reaction

This rumor was inevitable as soon as Andrade leaving the company hit this week, which left Fenix without a partner on the tag team circuit. There are plenty of other ways WWE could go thanks to a stacked roster, but this one makes the most sense.

Buy or Sell?

Buy. Why wouldn't WWE explore this, even before the Andrade news? Getting the Lucha Brothers on WWE television is a no-brainer, especially for a promotion that could use the boost to its tag division.

Wrestlepalooza Big Plans

SmackDown

The Rumor

Another week, more rumblings about Wrestlepalooza becoming a staple of WWE's annual programming. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the promotion has ambitions to position that show as a gap-filler on years WrestleMania takes place overseas.

Reaction

Talk about wishful thinking. Nothing can replace WrestleMania in the United States when it goes overseas. Plus, besides the goofy name, it's a brand new thing to many fans, no matter what history the show has behind it.

Buy or Sell?

Buy that WWE wants to make it work…but sell that it will work. There's no magical wand-waving act WWE can do to pretend a non-WrestleMania event is just as important as WrestleMania itself. And Saturday's execution of Wrestlepalooza will say much about whether it has any staying power at all.

Overseas WrestleMania Plans Buzz

WWE Press Conference

The Rumor

How will the WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia work? According to Scott D'Amore at Uncrowned, rumors say "WWE will hold only one WrestleMania night in Saudi and hold the other in the U.S." in 2027.

Reaction

Talk about a mess of scheduling that would be for promotion, wrestlers and fans alike. Something as simple as viewers attempting to figure out when to turn in for each night would be tough, as would any running on-screen attempt at storyline continuity between the two nights, like we've seen in the past from big names.

Buy or Sell?

Biggest sell of the week. Overseas venues and/or companies aren't going to pay the massive fee to land a WrestleMania event just to not get the whole actual thing. WWE might want to have its cake and eat it too like that, but there's way too much in the way of that making any kind of sense.

Andrade Fallout

5 of 5
SmackDown

The Rumor

Andrade has exited yet another company. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Andrew Ravens of Wrestling News), WWE had "buyer's remorse' in the wake of fan reactions after his first return moment.

Reaction

Those who are experiencing déjà vu aren't unwarranted in feeling it. Andrade returned to a big pop, then fell off a cliff in the face of muted reactions and iffy booking.

Buy or Sell?

Buy. It sounds like WWE set itself up for failure, though. The report mentions WWE had hoped he would be up there in reactions near the likes of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, which is just unreasonable. Those are outliers. Still, everyone can agree that this most recent run fell far short of what everyone knows it could have been.
