Why Triple H Can Turn Around WWE

AEW Can Take Advantage of WWE Cold Streak
At NXT Heatwave last month, Vice won a Triple Threat match against Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan, making her the new No. 1 contender for the NXT women's title.
On that same show, Jayne lost the TNA Knockouts World Championship to Ash by Elegance in a Triple Threat that also included Masha Slamovich, ending her reign as a double champion.
However, the Fatal Influence leader's NXT women's title was not on the line, and she entered No Mercy having held it for exactly four months.
Although there was plenty of talk among fans that Jayne would be a transitional champion after she beat Stephanie Vaquer for the title in May, she proved her detractors wrong.
Jayne showed that her title win wasn't a fluke by virtue of successfully defending it against the likes of Jordynne Grace, Slamovich and Lainey Reid.
However, Vice emerged as a legitimate threat to put a stop to Jayne's championship run, as she went into No Mercy with a ton of momentum on her side.
In addition to winning the No. 1 contender's match, Vice teamed with Jordan to beat Jayne and Fallon Henley in a tag team match last month, and Vice later went on to win a mixed tag team match with Mr. Iguana over Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez at Worlds Collide two weeks ago.
While Vice won the NXT Women's Breakout Tournament in 2023, she was still in search of her first taste of championship gold entering No Mercy, which suggested she would lay it all on the line against Jayne.
Despite that, Jacy rose to the occasion on the premium live event stage once again and kept her unlikely NXT Women's Championship reign intact.
