Angel Reese's 1st Reebok Signature Shoe Sells out Hours After Going on Sale
It was only a matter of hours before Angel Reese's signature Reebok sneaker began selling out.
The Angel Reese 1s dropped Thursday, and the "Diamond Dust" and "Mebounds" colorways are already gone on Reebok's official site. At the time of writing, there were four pairs left in the "Receipts Ready" design, but you're out of luck if you don't wear a men's 4/women's 5.5 shoe.
"I'm in full tears right now🥺," Reese wrote in a social media post. "Taking a leap of faith and launching three of my signature shoes at once was a huge risk—but guess what? They all sold out! I'm sooooo THANKFUL & beyond GRATEFUL and just want to thank everyone for the amazing support. REEBOK IS BACK! 🤍👟 @Reebok"
Reese first signed with Reebok while playing collegiately at LSU in 2023. That deal came shortly after the company hired NBA legends Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson to rebuild its basketball portfolio.
Following her rookie season with the Chicago Sky in 2024, Reese signed an extension that included her own signature Reebok sneaker.
For a long time, signature shoes were scarce in the WNBA. Apparel companies weren't prepared to invest the resources in women's basketball that they were for the men's game.
That changed within the last few years. In addition to Reese, the New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, Las Vegas Aces' A'ja Wilson and Washington Mystics' Jacy Sheldon all have a dedicated design. The Nike line for the Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark will debut in 2026 as well.
It looks like Reebok's bet on Reese is already paying off in a big way.
