Zach BacharSep 16, 2025

Caitlin Clark discussed her reaction to teammate Lexie Hull hitting a three-pointer late in the third quarter of the Indiana Fever's 77-60 win over the Atlanta Dream in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series on Tuesday.

"Can't explain what I felt in this moment," Clark wrote in a post on X.

The star point guard, who remains sidelined with a groin injury, also praised the energy from fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

With the win, Indiana forced Game 3 in the best-of-three series after facing elimination. It also marked the first playoff victory for the Fever since 2015.

The final result was especially impressive considering the team was missing several contributors outside of Clark. Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald and Sydney Colson were all ruled out due to injuries.

Indiana led by six points after the first quarter and maintained a 35-29 edge at the half on Tuesday, although Atlanta cut the deficit to just three points in the third quarter.

While the Fever led 40-37 early in the third, they closed out the period on a 19-7 run to gain a double-digit advantage heading into the fourth quarter. The sequence was highlighted by a layup from Aliyah Boston and a steal off an inbounds pass by Shey Peddy, with the ball swinging around to Hull before she connected on the long-range jumper.

Hull finished with seven points and five assists in the win, as the Fever outscored the Dream by 19 points in her 23 minutes on the floor.

As for Clark, injuries prevented her from potentially building upon her 2024 campaign in which she earned Rookie of the Year honors.

She averaged 16.5 points and 8.8 assists to go along with 1.6 steals per game during her second WNBA season, but only appeared in 13 of Indiana's 44 regular-season contests.
