The matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles was also the most-watched game in the month of September in NFL history, according to Dan Shanoff of The Athletic.
Philadelphia's victory over Kansas City was far from easy, with neither team holding a two-score lead until the fourth quarter.
As the Chiefs trailed by three points and were on the verge of a potential go-ahead touchdown early in the quarter, a pass from Patrick Mahomes bounced off the hands of Travis Kelce and fell into the arms of Eagles safety Andrew Mukuba for an interception.
The Eagles capitalized off the turnover by finding the end zone on their ensuing drive, taking a 10-point lead.
While Kansas City cut the deficit to three points once again with a touchdown pass from Mahomes to Tyquan Thornton later in the quarter, Philadelphia eventually ran out the clock to seal the victory.
Mahomes finished 16-of-29 for 187 yards and one touchdown to go along with one interception.
For the Eagles, Jalen Hurts completed 68.2 percent of his throws for 101 yards and found the end zone on the ground. Saquon Barkley also chipped in with 88 rush yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.
