Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Talks Playing with Baker, Kyler, Jalen Hurts at Oklahoma on Video

Paul KasabianSep 16, 2025

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was teammates with three current NFL quarterbacks—the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield, the Arizona Cardinals' Kyler Murray and the Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Hurts—during his collegiate career at Oklahoma.

Comedian Kevin Hart asked Lamb about that during a live edition of the Cold as Balls interview series, and the four-time Pro Bowler provided this response (conversation begins at 24-second mark).

"Yeah, it was," Lamb said when asked if he's ever thought about the privilege of playing with those elite talents in college.

"It seems surreal sometimes. You know what I'm saying? My first year (2017) coming, having Baker, he's fresh off (being a Heisman finalist in 2016), like, and then for him to go back-to-back (and win the Heisman in 2017), that was fire.

"And then knowing I had Kyler in the chamber, that was elite, and then you got [Jalen Hurts]. He came in, he was a Heisman finalist as well, so I had three of them. Two winners, one finalist.

"It's a little absurd," Hart noted.

"Yeah, that was fire. I enjoyed every bit of it," Lamb replied.

Hart then asked if he still has relationships with those players and is still in touch.

"All of them. All of them," Lamb said. "Congratulated Jalen on everything that he has going...Kyler, still talk to Baker often, so, it's pretty good."

Lamb played three years at Oklahoma. Mayfield was his quarterback in 2017 before Murray served as QB1 in 2018 prior to Hurts in 2019.

He fared well under all of them but had his best success in 2019, earning All-American honors after catching 62 passes for 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns. For his career, Lamb finished with 173 receptions for 3,292 yards and 32 scores.

Now all four players are enjoying success in the NFL.

Mayfield, a two-time Pro Bowler who just threw 41 touchdown passes last season, has Tampa Bay off to a 2-0 start thanks to his five scores (no picks) this year. Murray, also a two-time Pro Bowler, has the Cardinals at 2-0 as well.

As for Hurts, the Eagle star just led Philadelphia to a Super Bowl, where he won the MVP award. The Eagles are off to a 2-0 start as well.

Lamb and the Cowboys lost to Hurts' Eagles in Week 1 but rebounded with a thrilling 40-37 overtime win over the New York Giants in Week 2. Lamb has started the year with 16 catches for 222 yards.
