Buffalo Bills: Monday Night Heartbreak Part 3?
Kids are waiting for school buses on every street corner, leaves are starting to fall off of trees, and last night I slept for the first time without the aid of an air conditioner, must be time for FOOTBALL SEASON!
Along with every other football fan, I've been waiting for this week since February. Keeping tabs on mini camps, preseason games, trade rumors and which group of players will I declare my fantasy football sleepers.
If you couldn't guess by the photo, I am proud, that's right still proud to hold my head up high to be a Buffalo Bills fan. And year after year I start the season with great optimism that the Bills will finally have what it takes to make the playoffs.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I won't go into detail as I'm sure you've read enough about the uncertainties that the Bills have going into this season. T.O already saying how he doesn't like the no huddle offense, the forever rotating offensive line, the see you later to the offensive coordinator, and the hello again to Dick Jauron. (Seriously, why is he still here?)
I've learned to accept the mess that is coming out of Buffalo because changes don't scare me, what scares me the most going into Week 1 is playing in the national spotlight on Monday Night Football.
Don't get me wrong, I love to see the Bills play in MNF, but I'm not sure how much heartbreak we Bills fans can take with the country watching.
Let's rewind to two years ago. The 1-3 Bills led by rookie quarterback Trent Edwards hosting the 4-0 Dallas Cowboys at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Just like they are doing this week, every football dot come site you read during week 5 two years ago gave the Bills slim to no chance of beating the out of their league Dallas Cowboys.
But like every Sunday, there we were with our Bills jerseys on hoping for a good game. Then it happened... interception by George Wilson, TD! Interception by Kelsay, TD! 103 yard return by Mcgee TD! The Bills are going to shock the world, they are going to beat the Cowboys. Then this happened.. 37 yard FG by Nick Folk, Patrick Crayton TD, onside kick recovered by Dallas, 53 yard FG by Folk as time expired, Bills lose. Heartbreak No. 1
Last year. A shot of redemption, the Bills are awarded another home Monday Night game this time against the Cleveland Browns. This game was a bit more evenly matched but yet again when the Bills get a chance in the spotlight, I (and seemingly they) get nervous. The Bills played extremely sloppy football committing four turnovers but somehow found themselves with a chance to win with seconds left as Ryan Lindell attempts a 47 yard field goal. The kick is up....Wide Right, The Bills Lose! (sigh) Heartbreak No.2 (and we all know what heartbreak this reminds us of)
That brings us to today, days away from the Bills third appearance on Monday Night Football in as many years. And again they are to face a juggernaut of an opponent in the New England Patriots. What can we expect? I wish I knew. I'm sure the Bills will play better then what we saw in the preseason, but my question is, if the game is close in the final minutes will the Bills fans like myself finally be rewarded with an amazing win, or will I be back again before the Thursday Night game against the Jets later this year with a bigger warning for those with the faint of hearts to go watch The Office on NBC instead.
