Cowboys' Cooper Beebe Reportedly Expected to Miss 6-8 Weeks with Sprained Ankle Injury

Timothy RappSep 15, 2025

Dallas Cowboys center Cooper Beebe is expected to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks after suffering a sprained ankle during Sunday's wild 40-37 overtime win over the New York Giants, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Per that report, "He's almost certainly headed to Injured Reserve, but should be back in the second half of the season."

"We're hoping that it's on the shorter end of that," Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said during a Monday appearance on 105.3 The Fan regarding Beebe's injury timeline of 6-8 weeks (h/t Jon Machota of The Athletic). "But there's probably a pretty good chance that he'll end up on (injured reserve)."

Beebe left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter and had to be helped back to the locker room.

Brock Hoffman will now start at center for the Cowboys, barring an addition in free agency. While he's the team's backup guard, the Cowboys ensured he received snaps at center with the second unit during training camp.

Beebe, 24, was a third-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2024 NFL draft and has made 18 starts for the team. He transitioned to the center position after being an All-American guard at Kansas State during his college career.

As for the Cowboys, the injuries have been piling up. Receiver KaVontae Turpin also excited Sunday's contest with a neck injury, while starting quarterback DaRon Bland was held out of the contest with a right foot injury that could keep him out for several weeks.

Additionally, defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey on injured reserve, edge-rusher DeMarvion Overshown and wide receiver Jonathan Mingo are among the players on injured reserve.

The Cowboys did make a move to address their pass rush after the incomprehensible decision to trade Micah Parsons before the season, signing veteran defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.
