Sean Payton Says 'It Will Be Painful to Watch That Film' After Broncos' Loss to Colts
The Denver Broncos' last-second loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday understandably left head coach Sean Payton disappointed.
Payton admitted after the game that he's not looking forward to reviewing the tape of the Broncos' 29-28 loss because he feels the team sabotaged itself down the stretch.
"We did a lot of things late in that game to keep us from winning," Payton said, per The Athletic's Zak Keefer. "It will be painful to watch that film."

Payton was likely referring to the leverage penalty called on linebacker Dondrea Tillman during the Colts' attempt at a 60-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. The penalty gave Indianapolis kicker Spencer Shrader a second chance at the game-winner from 45 yards away with no time on the clock, and he drilled it to hand Denver its first loss of the season.
In addition to the disappointing ending, Payton had a contentious interaction with Broncos quarterback Bo Nix that raised some eyebrows and quickly went viral:
Payton and the Broncos will have to get over this loss quickly as they turn their attention to preparing for their Week 3 matchup against the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers.
