Eagles' Jalen Hurts Reacts to Chris Jones' Trash Talk, Says 'We Won the F--king Game'

Jalen Hurts had a fairly ho-hum game as a passer on Sunday, throwing for 101 yards and no touchdowns, and Chris Jones pointed out as much during the final moments of the Week 2 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles won the game 20-17, however, which Hurts was happy to remind Jones while adding that he should kindly be quiet now, please, as the star quarterback took a knee to finish the game:

Jones "said a lot of stuff out there," Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson told reporters after the game. "... He's probably one of the best s--t-talkers in the league. Top notch."

It was the Eagles who had the last word, however, buoyed by a fantastic defensive performance and just enough big plays to grind out a tough win. The Birds have now won three straight games against the Chiefs dating back to the 2023 campaign, including last season's blowout in the Super Bowl.

And getting results has always been the main thing for Hurts.

"I think that's the most important thing is finding a way to win," Hurts told reporters after the game. "Given the competitive nature of the game and how our games have gone when we've played this team—it's a really good team, we've got a ton of respect for them obviously—but you've got to come in with a sense of focus, you've got to stay patient within yourself, stay patient within the team and your role, and let things come to you. And I think as a team, we showed up when we needed to the most."
