Steelers' Mike Tomlin Calls out 'Poor Judgment' by Kaleb Johnson After Kickoff Mistake

Rookies in the NFL are expected to make some mistakes early in their careers, but Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson made one of the worst errors of the season so far on Sunday.

On a Seattle Seahawks' kickoff, Johnson did not catch the ball and instead allowed it to roll into the endzone. From there, the Seahawks managed to jump on the ball and score one of the easiest touchdowns they'll get all year.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin chopped it up to inexperience for Johnson.

"Poor judgment by a young player," Tomlin told reporters.

Tomlin added that the Steelers work on kickoffs "every day of our lives."

The Steelers went on to lose 31-17 to fall to 1-1 on the year.

In Johnson's defense, the kickoff rules have changed in recent years, which has led to confusion for plenty of players and coaches, but Sunday's blunder was one of the worst since the new rules went into effect.
