Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Takes Blame for INT Intended for Travis Kelce vs. Eagles
The Kansas City Chiefs had the chance to take a late lead over the Philadelphia Eagles, but Travis Kelce had trouble with a pass from Patrick Mahomes, and it led to a goal-line interception.
While the interception appeared to be on Kelce since he couldn't bring in the ball, Mahomes said he has to be better at getting it into his receiver's hands in a better spot.
"I think I threw it just a tad too early, just trying to put it on his body low before that player got there," Mahomes said. "I think if I can put it more on his body and not so far out in front of him that he can catch and take the hit and get in the endzone."

The interception proved to be costly, as the Eagles capitalized with a touchdown to make it a 20-10 game. The Chiefs got back into the game with a late touchdown, but ultimately lost 20-17 to start the season 0-2 for the first time since 2014.
Kelce and Mahomes will look to have a better connection next week as they face the New York Giants.
