Lamar Jackson Hypes Hopkins, Says Ravens WR Is Proving He's Not 'Washed'
DeAndre Hopkins had a nice performance on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, reeling in two catches for 64 yards in the Baltimore Ravens' 41-17 blowout win.
Not that Lamar Jackson was surprised.
"People called him 'washed,' but he showed 'em otherwise," he told reporters after the contest.

Apparently the Ravens have been keeping receipts on the Hopkins' haters.
"People say he's washed," fellow wideout Zay Flowers told reporters. "That man looks like he's just getting started."
Hopkins had a similar showing in Week 1, with two catches for 34 yards and a score. He hasn't been a huge part of the team's offense—he has just four total targets on the season—but it's clear that Jackson trusts him.
At 33, nobody expects the sort of form that saw Hopkins voted to five Pro Bowls and earn three first-team All-Pro selections in his prime. But he's clearly going to have a role for the Ravens this season, and any notions that he's "washed" appear to be premature.
