Mark Briscoe Beats MJF in Tables and Thumbtacks Match at AEW All Out 2025

Mark Briscoe beat bitter rival MJF in a tables and thumbtacks match at AEW All Out on Saturday.

Briscoe fought through the pain to put MJF through a tack-covered table with a Froggy Bow before hitting a second Froggy Bow and then a Jay Driller into a bed of tacks to score the upset victory.

The feud between MJF and Briscoe started in July during the lead up to All In when MJF took some deeply personal shots, including multiple mentions of Mark's late brother, Jay Briscoe.

Both MJF and Briscoe competed in the Casino Gauntlet match. MJF got the last laugh by winning the match and securing a future AEW World Championship opportunity.

That was far from the end of the MJF-Briscoe rivalry, though, as MJF would use Briscoe as a pawn to coax "Hangman" Adam Page into accepting an AEW world title match at Forbidden Door.

With help from Ricochet and The Gates of Agony, MJF abducted Briscoe and threatened to burn him alive unless Page agreed to the stipulations he laid out.

In order to save Briscoe, Page agreed to put the title on the line against MJF in a match where the championship could change hands on a disqualification or count-out. Hangman also allowed MJF to challenge for the title without using the guaranteed title match he won at All In.

Briscoe got at least some level of revenge at Forbidden Door when he showed up during MJF vs. Page to show the referee that Page's foot was on the rope during a pinfall attempt. Hangman went on to win the match and retain his title.

MJF got payback for Forbidden Door on the Sept. 6 episode of Collision when he interfered during a match between Briscoe and Konosuke Takeshita for a future TNT Championship match.

Since it was the day after MJF's wedding, nobody expected him to be on the show, but he delayed his honeymoon in the name of getting back at Briscoe.

While officials separated MJF and Briscoe after the match to prevent them from brawling, MJF said he wanted to have a match against Briscoe, and noted that Briscoe could choose the time, place and stipulation.

The following week, Briscoe made his decision, calling for a tables and thumbtacks match at All Out.

That stipulation seemingly favored Briscoe and his hardcore style, and he took advantage with perhaps the biggest victory of his AEW career.
