Packers' Josh Jacobs Says Jordan Love Doesn't Get 'Enough Respect' After 2-0 Start

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs gave a shoutout to quarterback Jordan Love after the team improved to 2-0 with a 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night.

"I said last week, I don't think he gets enough respect," Jacobs said following the victory. "Every week he's been coming out and playing better and better. To see the way he's in the pocket, he's poised and he has great timing with the receivers. He's making some plays. I know there's a couple that he wants back that should've been big ones, but he's balling."

Love finished 19-of-31 for 292 yards and two touchdowns without turning the ball over against Washington. He also rushed for 12 yards on three attempts.

It was an impressive accomplishment, especially against a Commanders defense that allowed a mere six points and 157 pass yards in a Week 1 victory over the New York Giants.

On the season, Love has completed 66 percent of his throws for 480 yards and four touchdowns without getting picked off. He's also averaging 9.1 yards per attempt.

Green Bay's first two wins of the season have come against the Commanders and Detroit Lions, a promising start considering both teams made the playoffs in 2024 with a combined 27-7 record.

While the Packers have made playoff appearances of their own in each of the past two years, they haven't advanced beyond the divisional round since the 2020 season.

If Love continues to play at a high level moving forward, Green Bay could find itself going on a deeper postseason run in the near future.
