Jalen Hurts, Kyle Hamilton Headline Madden NFL 26 Player Ratings Update After Week 1

EA Sports announced the first Madden NFL 26 ratings updates for the 2025 NFL regular season on Thursday.

In a post on X, Madden highlighted adjustments to Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Baltimore Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Washington Commanders rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt:

Hurts went up 1 overall to an 87, as did Hamilton to a 91 and JSN to an 87. Croskey-Merritt, who goes by the nickname Bill, got bumped up by 2 overall to a 72.

The 27-year-old Hurts helped lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl win last season, and he was named Super Bowl MVP in Philly's 40-22 drubbing of the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the Eagles' Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys, Hurts was conservative as a passer, going 19-of-23 for 152 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, but he made a huge impact as a runner, rushing for 62 yards and two scores.

Hamilton, 24, was on the wrong end of a bad loss in Week 1, as his Ravens blew a 15-point lead in a 41-40 defeat against the Buffalo Bills.

The two-time Pro Bowler and one-time First Team All-Pro was far from the problem for Baltimore's defense, though, as he finished the game with nine tackles, two passes defended and a forced fumble.

After delivering fairly modest production as a rookie, Smith-Njigba broke out last season as the Seahawks' top receiver, registering 100 catches for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns en route to his first Pro Bowl nod.

Seattle fell short in Week 1, losing 17-13 to the San Francisco 49ers, but JSN picked up where he left off last season, exploding for 124 yards on nine grabs.

A seventh-round pick out of Arizona, Croskey-Merritt was the talk of training camp and preseason. In fact, he was so impressive that the Commanders traded former starting running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the Niners.

JCM had a great debut in Week 1, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown in the Commanders' 21-6 win over the New York Giants.

On Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, Croskey-Merritt had only 17 yards on four carries in a 27-18 loss.

However, his role figures to increase exponentially, as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that it is feared Commanders starting running back Austin Ekeler tore his Achilles against the Packers.

If that is the case, Ekeler will miss the rest of the season, and Croskey-Merritt figures to be the lead back ahead of Jeremy McNichols and Chris Rodriguez Jr.
