Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Packers are looking to improve to 2-0 after last weekend's season-opening triumph over the Detroit Lions.
Doubs, originally drafted by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, recorded 46 catches for 61 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 13 games last season.
The wide receiver earned praise from LaFleur this offseason ahead of his fourth campaign with the team.
"I think patience as a route runner, he's doing a great job," LaFleur said in August about Doubs' progress (h/t USA today's Brandon Carwile). "He's always been able to get off the line, but just in terms of the patience of a route runner."
Doubs joined Jaylen Reed and Tucker Kraft as one of three players to receive at least four targets from Love in last Sunday's season opener.
He caught hauled in two of those passes to contribute 68 receiving yards to the Packers' 27-13 Week 1 victory over the Lions.
Doubs is currently in the final year of his rookie contract. The deal is set to pay him a base salary of $3.4 million in 2025 before he hits unrestricted free agency next spring, per Spotrac.
The 25-year-old will look to build his case for his next contract, and establish himself as a top option for Love this season, by helping lead the Packers to a Thursday night victory in Green Bay.
