DK Metcalf Says Aaron Rodgers Got 'Breath of Fresh Air' with Steelers After Jets Stint
After a messy ending to his tenure with the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers looked strong in his debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
His new teammate, DK Metcalf, thinks joining a new squad was exactly what the 41-year-old Rodgers needed.
"I think coming here was like a breath of fresh air for him, cause he's flying around the field, he's running around, he's joking in the huddle," Metcalf said on the Network with Rich podcast (14:15 mark). "I think my boy just loves football again, and I think that's the positive about a change of scenery. It can get you loving the game to where you was back in peewee or middle school or high school, where you can go out and give you all every play, no matter what's going on."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While Rodgers still has a long season ahead of him, he looked more like himself in his first game with the Steelers than he did for most of his time with the Jets. He threw for 244 yards and four touchdowns on 22-of-30 passing, leading Pittsburgh to a win over his former squad.
Whether the veteran quarterback can keep up that kind of production remains to be seen, but he's off to a good start so far.
