The 21-year-old signed his fully-guaranteed rookie contract with the Browns on Saturday, agreeing to a four-year deal worth $11.4 million.
Judkins missed Cleveland's training camp and preseason following a July arrest on a misdemeanor domestic violence and battery charge. On Aug. 14, prosecutors announced that no formal charges would be filed against him.
An NFL investigation is still ongoing, though.
The running back missed practice on Wednesday because he was meeting with league officials in New York regarding potential violations under the personal conduct policy.
Now, Judkins is back to practicing with his teammates.
The Browns selected him with a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, adding him with the No. 36 overall choice.
Judkins was expected to compete for a starting job with the Browns following the draft. He spent the 2024 season at Ohio State, rushing for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging 5.5 yards per carry. He also hauled in 22 receptions for 161 yards and two more scores.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was noncommittal when discussing Judkins' status for the team's Week 2 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.
"I'm going to take it day by day," Stefanski said Wednesday, per Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. "He's not here today, not practicing today, so I'll really take that day by day."
Kickoff between Baltimore and Cleveland is on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
