Lions OC Says 'Nobody's in Panic Mode' amid Prep for Ben Johnson, Bears After W1 Loss
Detroit Lions offensive coordinator John Morton told reporters on Thursday that "nobody's in panic mode" after the team managed just 246 yards from scrimmage and gave up four sacks in a 27-13 loss against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
"We're in the fix-it business as coaches," he added.

The team was also held to just 46 yards on the ground after averaging 146.4 rushing yards per game last season, sixth in the NFL. But Morton wasn't sweating that, either.
"It's an easy fix," he told reporters. "An easy fix. Again, not in panic mode."
Morton obviously has plenty to prove this season, replacing the well-regarded Ben Johnson, who is now the head coach of the Chicago Bears. Under Johnson, the Lions ranked second in yards last season (409.5 YPG) and first in scoring (33.2 PPG). Big shoes to fill, in other words.
Week 1 wasn't a great start, but Morton isn't sounding any alarms just yet.
