WNBA Playoff Picture 2025, Bracket Predictions and Scenarios Before Season Finales

Only one day remains in the 2025 WNBA regular season, with the playoffs rapidly approaching.

The eight teams that will make up the 2025 postseason field are already set, although the exact seeding of certain squads can still change before the regular season comes to a close on Thursday night.

After the Atlanta Dream moved into the No. 2 spot in the league with a lopsided 88-72 win over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, here's a look at the updated WNBA playoff standings.

The Dream moved above the Las Vegas Aces for the second-best record in the WNBA, but the Aces can still clinch the No. 2 spot.

Las Vegas only sits 0.5 games behind Atlanta and holds the tiebreaker between the two teams after beating the Dream in all three matchups this season, meaning that it'll take the No. 2 seed once again if it can emerge victorious in a clash with the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday.

The Aces are currently riding a 15-game win streak, while the Sparks sit at 21-22 and were eliminated from playoff contention on Tuesday.

While the Phoenix Mercury and New York Liberty are locked into their respective positions at No. 4 and No. 5, the bottom of the playoff standings could see some movement on Thursday.

The Golden State Valkyries are 0.5 games back from the Indiana Fever at No. 6 and are also 0.5 games up on the Seattle Storm at No. 8. Indiana and Seattle have both completed the regular season, although Golden State still has one game remaining.

If the Valkyries find a way to defeat the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday, they'll claim the No. 6 spot due to their tiebreaker over the Fever. If Golden State falls to Minnesota, it'll drop down to No. 8 as Seattle owns the tiebreaker between the two teams.

The Valkyries will attempt to move to No. 6 on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, while the Aces will try to claim the No. 2 spot once again at 10 p.m. ET.
